Essential ECG: A practical guide to recording, interpreting, and reporting ECGs with confidence
Mark Mills, Akshay Gaur and David Warriner

Akshay Gaur, the cardiology registrar in our tips videos, is one of the three authors. It is the clearest ECG book I have used. It starts with the heart's normal conduction system, then lead placement and the anatomical perspectives each lead gives you, then every component of a normal ECG, and it explains each one properly rather than assuming you already know it. Once that is in place it hands you a practical algorithm for reading any ECG in front of you, then makes you use it on 50 real ones, common, critical and life-threatening, each with a concise interpretation. That last section is what made it stick for me. I'd recommend it.
We're starting right now with IMT for The Schema, but depending on which specialties get more waiting list sign ups, resource development will be focused more towards that.
